My name is Salem Islas-Madlo and I'm excited to have started as part of the team here at Kalksburg as the English native teacher in March 2022. I love teaching children English as they develop a playful, yet confident feeling when it comes to learning a foreign language while helping them to build a solid foundation for their proficiency levels.

I have had the privilege to develop and gain extensive knowledge and experience over a 22 years span working as a highly, successful educator with children from kindergarten all the way up to secondary and university levels. I have an academic background in art therapy, BA in communication disorders and a Masters degree in Education. Compassion and mindfulness are an integral part of my educational philosophy which is also deeply ingrained in both my personal and professional vision for living life.

My experience as an English trainer, coach and educator has established a substantial foundation intermediating with different students and working on multidisciplinary teams. I have also attended an MBSR course and was part of a team who developed a program to introduce and bring mindfulness into Austrian schools for teachers and students.

I look forward to serving your children and helping guide them along their way with curiosity and enthusiasm.
